Love these outfits and I actually completely agree - I’ve started looking at brand websites for outfit ideas rather than Pinterest. I’ve also tried to stop buying anything that won’t go with at least 5 to 6 other items in my wardrobe! Growth 🌱

Thanks for sharing Emily, I felt the part about 'that’s not to say certain outfits aren’t cute; they are, but it’s an entire narrative I’m buying into' in my bones ha!

I love sezane for the same purpose. I go and see how they styled the item I own. Sometimes it makes no sense but looks fab!

Exactly! Also, I always end up finding hair/makeup styling from Sezane as well. All of the girls look so effortlessly pretty!

Net-a-Porter is my FAVORITE for saving inspiration photos from; especially when I come across them on Pinterest and divorce them from the actual shopping of product. There is something about the styling on the site that resonates and translates into fabulous IRL outfits!!

AGREE! And even in the rare instances when something is styled in a way that I can't imagine wearing IRL, they'll always offer a more approachable option that does resonate.

YES!! It’s really a treasurer trove. Imagine having a pair of dark wash denim you wanted styling help with; you could go on NAP and find dark wash denim and just recreate away.

Love this idea! It makes so much sense. Would you mind sharing how you organize all your screenshots? I also have a screenshot folder but it’s such a mess of different things. Thanks!

I have a folder Inspo A/W and Inspo S/S. screenshots go there. I also have a folder for wishlist items I screenshotted.

Thank you! My screenshots folder is mainly a mess aside from Outfits and Interior Design ideas. I rarely organize things immediately, so I go through the images I've saved once a month and drop them into their folders! x

Emily - I love this but can I ask why you dont blog anymore?

Why is this on Substack?

I’m a long time follower since around 2008 and it’s just disappointing to now to have to pay to subscribe to read? (I appreciate this one was free)

- thank you!

Hi! I hear you! As now a team of one, Substack was the most sustainable way for me to continue writing without relying on ads and sponsorships (but I do keep one post free a month and post daily on Instagram for those who don't want to pay)! x
