Would you believe the best face cream I've ever used is an Aldi Lacura Night Cream? It costs under £2 and is absolutely gorgeous. It feels so soft and smooth and makes my skin look and feel gorgeous. Don't be fooled by the price: it is a top quality moisturiser. I've used it for three years now.
Another brilliant face cream is L'Oreal anti-age night cream. It feels wonderful on my skin. I tried a Body Shop Vitamin E face cream but that I did not like. It didn't leave my skin smooth enough.
Anyhow, two different priced face creams with the same impact.
I recently purchased a lot of these products and can already tell a difference! I reference your post all of the time and even took screenshots of your photos so I don’t get confused when applying. 😂 Thank you so much!
I have not purchased the eye cream you mention here (I accidentally bought an eye mask from the same company). However; I think you’ve been using a different brand now that’s more of an investment. Do you think the investment difference is worth it?
I'm so glad to hear! Honestly, the one I linked in this post is fantastic, and I don't think it's necessary to splurge on the UBeauty version unless it's a product you've been dying to try.
Emily - Thanks for this detailed look into your skincare routine. It certainly works for you; your skin is glowing. Two questions: How long do you wait after applying one product before applying the next? And - do you remove your makeup at night with something else before proceeding with your cleanser? Thank you!
Thank you, Patty! The only product I wait a minute or two after applying before the next step is toner! It goes on rather wet, so after that time, it's dried nicely. I don't use anything else for makeup remover - just cleanser, and that's it! For the times when I do have on a lot of eye makeup, I swear by the Lancome eye makeup remover, as it never irritates my eyes. I hope this helps! x
I ordered most of the products Emily recommended. Anyone else? I haven’t received an email confirmation or anything and I ordered some time ago. I’m wondering if this is normal
The largest box from Olive Young just arrived and I’ve ordered (almost!) everything in this routine. So excited to try it out!
The samples from Olive Young were incredible - and so appreciate you outlining the steps as that’s where I normally get lost! Going to use the post it note method too.
This is helpful, I can't wait to try some of these products! How long do you let these products sink in before moving to the next? Your skin looks great!
If you have dry skin, another amazing and shockingly low priced item is vegetable glycerine. I will use it as a finally step to seal everything in at night. Its similar to using silicon patches and leaves your skin feeling so hydrated. I’ve also spent way too much time and money on skin care. And anything that helps seal in moisture is the ticket 😀
Thank you for sharing your regimen! Your skin is glowing. I'll be trying these. Since you have dry skin like I do, you might want to try Naomi Watts' Stripes face cleanser Resting Clean Face. It was a game changer for me! All of her products are incredibly hydrating.

Not sure if it's the same in the US, but I can find my fave Korean beauty products at TJ Maxx (Marshall's, Winners, etc.) in Canada!

Incredibly helpful post! Been wanting to try and dip into trying Korean skincare products, but was overwhelmed on where to start. Thank you!
I’d felt the same so I totally get it! I did a lotttt of research, so I’m glad it’s helpful! x
